Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival

Saturday 17th June 2017 to Monday 17th July 2017

The Rotary Club of Wilmslow Dean’s Annual Scarecrow Festival will run from 17 June to 8 July 2017 and scarecrows should start to appear in and around Wilmslow from mid June.

Complete the Scarecrow Hunt for the chance to win prizes – it’s free!

The Scarecrow Parade and brass band will take place on Saturday 1st July

The winners of the Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival will be announced at The Wilmslow Show on Sunday 9th July.

The Competitions in the Flower Tent at the Wilmslow Show are organised by the Alderley Edge and Wilmslow Horticultural and Rose Society. The Flower Tent also showcases special Young People’s classes.

The Classic Car Show will from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m.

Plus live music, craft stalls, arena events and fairground rides.

Balsam Blitz at The Carrs

Sunday, 9th July 2017 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Help battle against the alien weeds. No experience needed. Wear long sleeves & trousers.

Cinema on the Carrs

Saturday 9th September 2017 (12.00 noon until 9.00 p.m.)

Doors open at 12.00 noon for the matinee and family fun day which runs until 4.30 p.m.


The film “The Lion King’ starts at 2.00 p.m.

Duck racing, bouncy castles, face painting and themed craft activities.

The arena reopens at 6.00 p.m. for the Main Evening Feature.

Evening film Dirty Dancing will start around 7.45 p.m.

There will be a cinema food court available all day
